CIT-410: Last Camping Update (I hope)
It turns out that my professor never actually read the e-mail I sent to him. I'm kind of happy about that, because I can be quite rude when I'm frustipated. Anyway, I stopped by his office to see what was going on. He let me opt out of the camping trip based upon my medical concerns, and I'm grateful to him for that.
We discussed the camping trip today in class. Our professor was very interested in learning our thoughts about the whole experience. The entire class was unanimously in accord that the trip was an utter waste of time and that more productive things could have been accomplished with the time spent camping.
I hear that most people weren't even placed in their assigned groups once they arrived at the camp. Our CIT people were just randomly thrown into groups that needed more people, which lead to an even more severe waste of time. CIT and IBC people couldn't interact in relation to the whole purpose of the trip. All I have to say is how grateful I am that I didn't have to go.... I might have killed a few people.
Our professor is going to try to get things fixed to where the CIT people meet with their assigned IBC group on campus for a few hours the week following their (the IBC's) camping trip. We all agree that it will be a much more efficient use of time, energy, and resources. Yay.
